Facilities Overview

Welcome to the Warm Springs LDS Recreational Historical site. The facility experienced a devastating fire in July 2010 and was closed until June 2017. This website contains historical information about the old facility.

The old facility consisted of two pools, camping grounds, fields, streams, and limited RV parking. There were bathroom facilities with showers.

The main attractions were two gorgeous warm spring pools. The upper pool was located directly at the spring. Its beautiful, tranquil setting was the perfect place to swim. It has a gravel bottom and was kept au'naturel as they could manage. This pool is a historic site held near and dear to the hearts of local residents as many family and church events took place in the pool, including baptisms. Many of the local youth spent hours in service making the facility a better place, and was the site of many Eagle Scout projects.

The lower pool was fed from a stream connecting it to the upper pool. It was a man made, cement, more traditional pool. With picnic and bbq facilities it was the perfect place to spend a day with the family, throw a big party, or a Church activity.

There were ample camping spaces available perfect for families, scout camps, and girls camps. Large groups can pay a fee to rent the entire ranch for private events.

Warm Springs was truly a beautiful oasis in the desert!

  3. I am SO SO SO sad about the fire! We held our Girls Camp at Warm Springs just weeks ago and had the most amazing time. I am HOPING the Church decides to rebuild. I was so looking forward to taking my family back down to enjoy the ranch. :-(

  4. I was born and raised in Las Vegas, and my family would go to Warm Springs often to camp and swim. My Uncle helped to build and develop the property, and the pools and streams. My fondest memories are of the Springs. It is beyond sad and dissapointing that it was then cut off to Nevadans that loved this treasure, simply due to it being purchased by the LDS Church. It was a true oasis, and it's beauty and health benefits were meant for EVERYONE to share, appreciate and enjoy. The fire was indeed devastating news, and I sincerely hope that there will be a purchase made to obtain the property, and return it to the beauty that it held when I was a child. Nature is for everyone to share....discrimination of it is a sin.

    1. Just because the church purchased Warm Springs, did not mean that it cut off the springs to everyone! The church helped take care of the springs and helped others see its beauty. I too was born and raised in Nevada and Warm Springs was a big part of my life! It's a tragedy that it is gone now but that is not the church to blame. The church helped secure the springs, maybe the springs would have been gone sooner then it was because there was no one to really care for the springs. The church helped preserve it for as long as they could. Thanks to the church, more people were able to see these wonderful springs! I will forever miss the springs and everyday when I wake up, I hope for all I can that they decide to rebuild the springs instead of just sell it because, truth be told, the church takes very good care of the springs and helps keep it beautiful!

    3. To this very day, it makes me so sad that our home burned down in that horrible fire! There wasn't a house like that around anywhere ! My father had Richard Stadleman build the house for us. I'm so glad I have wonderful pictures and memories living there during my young life.

    1. Did they dry up or take all the water out?

    2. I don't know if they dried them up but they are in need of much cleaning from all the debris from the fire getting into the water. We are still waiting to see whether the brethren in salt lake are going to sell the ranch or rebuild. We're all praying for the rebuilding of our beloved warm springs.
